Producer/Presenter (Radio 3, English Programme Service)
Man this seems like a lot. Doesn anybody think I can do this?
Entry Requirements
: (a)(i) a pass in 2 subjects at advanced level in the Hong Kong
Advanced Level Examination and Grade C or above in 3 other subjects,
including English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of
Education Examination, or equivalent; and 5 years’ experience in
broadcasting or journalism; or (ii) a Diploma in Music from the Hong
Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent; and 5 years’ relevant
experience; or (iii) a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; and 3 years’
relevant experience; or (iv) a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience;
(b) a pass in English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong
Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; (c) good written
and spoken English; (d) good broadcasting voice; and (e) able to work
independently. (Note: Candidates may be required to sit for a voice and/or trade test.)Duties: Producing
and presenting radio programmes; formulating programme ideas, planning
and designing programme content; undertaking research work; organizing
and directing the production of programmes; conducting interviews;
writing and editing scripts; recording; carrying out editing and
post-production work. (Note : May be required to work irregular hours /
over-night shifts / weekends)Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits:
Successful candidates will be appointed on one-year non-civil service
contract terms. If the contract is satisfactorily completed with
consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the officer may
be granted a gratuity which, when added together with the Government’ s
contribution to MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn
during the contract period. Rest days, general holidays, annual leave,
maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted
on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment

Completed forms should be sent to the address below on or before the
closing date for application. Candidates who are selected for interview
will normally receive an invitation in about 6 weeks from the closing
date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may
assume that their applications are unsuccessful. Only shortlisted

Yea you should go for it, you should have enough background in journalism between your jobs and JMSC for them to want your skills.
