So guess what, I almost pulled an all nighter last night cause, I suck as a writer.
Really, I went to this talk last Monday and we had to write about it
and hand it in today. This perosn who I respect and have met on
many occasions, and somehow I couldnt’ figure out what to write about
what she was talking about.this time around she spoke on the famed west Kowloon project, and the
lack of Culture in Hong Kong. Now I totally agree with her.
that hong Kong is losing it’s cultural identity and that is basically
what she wrote about.If I can state it so clearly here, how come I couldn’t write a damn
think about it. It was pretty annoying. I spent the good part of
my week trying to find an angle and I just couldn’t In the midsts
of meeting my Professor for my final project and doing my two group
projects. I couldn’t find anything.So last night, I sat down at my desk and proceeded to try to write this
article. And I thought and I thought for a long time. And I still
couldn’t find anything… Finally at about 1am I ended up writing
exactly what she said. Hong Kong lacks culture and and doesn’t
need a West Kowloon to have it.That was it, It was over in two hours and before I knew it… I was in
bed. What the hell happened in the week that I attempted to write
it. Don’t know. I think I owe this to the fact that this
person spoke on her topic but she also was all over the place and never
staying on one topic for longer than the one powerpoint slide.In the end it became so broad of a talk that there was no way to really pin point her specific points… and that made it hard.
I guess this is one of those things in Journalims, you either get it or you don’t. There’s no middle ground.
