So started my first real week of School. With classes starting on a Thursday, it doesn’t really count as starting school. But it is so weird. For the first time in my life I don’t think lectures are boring.
Man white guys, well, Western-educated teachers seems to be so much more with the programme than other teachers. And by that I mean they just seem to make the classess interesting. You don’t want these classes to end.
So anyway, I’m just hanging out on a off night. last night was my Mom’s Birthday, and also Christy and I’s 19th month together, and that is like a double wow. Pretty happy that is going well. She has been great, and very receptive to the new lifestyle that I am embarking on, though it does cause for less time that we can spend together. We will have to get around this.
Christy came along for the dinner that was at the Brand Spankin’ New (Six Star Hotel) the Four Seasons Hotel in Central. Subsequently, due to construction of a facelift at the Repusle Bay apartment, my parents have rented a serviced apartment there too. And let me just say this. It is FUCKING NICE. I hate how perfect the place is. Each apartment, is fitted with, count ‘em two Plasma TVs. Living room, and Bed room. Nakamichi sound system in the bed room, and a Bose 5.1 Lifestyle Home Theater System… All I can say is damn… Their pool, Spa and gym, is fucking great too… I cannot say just how good it is, you’ll have to see for yourself… I’ll try to post some pictures one of these days.
The Double whammy of Dinner and Lunch parties took it’s tool on me, not to mention getting up for Church at 6:45am but it was still great. the Lunch and Dinner were not specially great, it was good food, at high prices, but it was the atmosphere and the company that we were enjoying. I had to give a speech at the dinner, and though I ended up saying only half of what I wrote and making up the rest, I still think I did a much better speech than I had actually written. I’m pretty proud of myself.
My class today was Advanced Writing and Reporting. And it was great. We talked about what made a good story, and it was a very interactive class. But there are two lab days on Tuesday and Wednesday that are 3 hours and 2 hours respectively… I’m going to have my days tied up.
Tuesday and Wednesday I have classes to 9:30pm… there are no Masters courses during the mornings, and that sucks… Atleast I get to sleep in…
